iPodにH.264フォーマットの動画が転送されない！？

多分、H.264フォーマットでもMPEG-4でも見れると思うんですけど、
こちらのエントリで気になる記述が。

H.264フォーマットの動画はQuickTimeで作成できて、iTunesにインポートもできるし、Appleも適切なパラメータ(画面サイズとかビットレートとか)のH.264ならiPodで再生できると言っているけど、H.264動画はiPodに転送されないでしょう。だからMPEG-4にしときましょうよ。
的なことが書いてあります。
でも、iTMSで販売するミュージックビデオとかって、確かH.264じゃなかったっけ？
とか思うのですが、実際どうなんでしょうか。
