browsrはソーシャルディレクトリマネージャと銘打たれたサービスです。

browsr is a social directory manager. browsr empowers you to easily add, categorize and share your directory of favorite sites with others.

トップページでは、BankingやMusic、Web 2.0 Servicesといったディレクトリに既にたくさんのサイトが登録されてますね。
各ディレクトリのDetailを押すと登録されてるサイトの一覧がAjaxっぽく表示されます。

browsrではパブリック(或はソーシャル)的側面とプライベート的側面からサービスの提供を行います。
パブリック的側面では、

From the public or social side, users can tag their favorite sites to Browsr allowing others to comment on them.

ユーザは好きなサイトにタグを付ける事ができ、他の人はそれにコメントすることが出来ます。
プライベート的側面では、

From the private side, users create their own directories. Much like bookmarking, users add their own categories populated with their favorite sites.

ユーザは各自でディレクトリを作成できます。ブックマークする感じで、お気に入りサイトで一杯のカテゴリを追加していきます。
(ただし、このプライベートディレクトリ機能はまだ実装されていないようです)

Using Wikipedia's conception of "folksomony", users of Browsr manage how content is categorized and commented upon. We call this a "people powered directory".

browsrのユーザは各コンテンツがどのようにカテゴライズされてコメントを付けられるかを管理します。
browsrではこれを「people powered directory」(人力ディレクトリ？)と呼んでるようです。
実態がまだよく掴めてませんが、面白い方向へ発展することを期待してます。
