Googleがフィッシング対策用のFirefox拡張機能をリリース - Google Safe Browsing

フィッシング等で偽装されたサイトを開いた際にアラートを表示して警告してくれるFirefox1.5拡張機能がGoogleからリリースされました。
『Google Safe Browsing』という名称のようです。

怪しいサイトに入ると、

Web Forgery(Web偽装)

This page is very likely to have been designed to trick users into sharing personal or financial information.
(このページは、ユーザが個人情報あるいは財務情報を共有するようだますために設計されてるようです。)
Entering any personal information on this page may result in identiti theft or other fraud.
(このページで個人情報を入力すると、個人情報の窃盗や他の詐欺が引き起こされるかもしれません)

といった警告がポップアップで表示されるようです。
GoogleがどうやってWebの偽装を見破っているかは、

We use several techniques to determine whether a page is genuine, including the use of a blacklist containing pages that have been identified as suspicious and/or misleading based on automated detection or user reports.

とあるようにブラックリストやユーザからの報告など、いろいろなテクニックを使って判定しているようです。

で、早速インストールを試みたのですが、

とのことで、アメリカ国内のユーザのみしか現状はダウンロードできないようです。。残念。。
まだアメリカ以外のフィッシングサイトに対する対応が出来てないとかでしょうか。
きっと近いうちに日本版もリリースされるでしょうから、それまではしばらく待つことにします。
